cd 70 radio update software

Hello, can anyone tell me where to find this cd for cd70 navi opel astra h? it is worthing to update? where to find..free.

It should be freely available from any Opel/Vauxhall dealership.
It deals with some (minor) bugs:

• You receive a warning when the remaining petrol is only suffcient for 50 kms and you are suggested to be guided to the next petrolstation
• When approaching crossings and roundabouts the map will zoom in automatically
• You are given the choice to select your favourite TMC station
• An additonal map scale is added
• A flaw in the sound settings is fixed

Of course..but when i pick up my new opel astra nobody said i will need someday of this cd..if i had this cd i will never ask here..read on some forums that it could update your radio software and i asked..by the way how can i check to see the radio firm version and ..cd 70 display only arows and no map as we know how map is? Thank you all

When you approach a crossing and the map is not zoomed in automatically, uou should ask for the newer software.
What has been said or omitted during the sale of your car is not the issue. The dealership may not have known of the existence of this software

You may also check the actual Software as follows:

Keep the Settings-button for about 5 seconds untill you hear a "gong". You are now in Service Mode
You may now press the Navi-button once or twice and the date /SW Version is displayed at the bottom line
When nothing is displayed use the Radio-button

When you press the BC-button you will be able to see numerous pages with information about your car
You keep this display until you switch off the ignition,

The latesst Software version is 04/2007
