VDO Dayton MS5100 pinouts

hi sorry but i dont speak dutch but im looking for the pinouts for a ms5100 system as i want to hard wire my remote to it because i dont use the original screen so dont have a receiver eye for the remote ayone got any links or info on this kind regards robbie

What do you have? the cradle? not the cable?

i have just the remote i gave solderd 3 wires out of the bottom of this but dont know where to conect it to thanks

You do realize I hope that when you put the remote control unit into the appropiate wired cradle, you also do not require th IR eye in the monitor. Also the batteries in the RC are no longer required.

Interesting to learn you have wired an alternative monitor to the PC5100. Could you please elaborate on the wiring etc.?

your a star it worked ive been searching for 4 weeks for that thank you very much ,
i have conected my car dvd to a composite out but is only in black and white need some kind of rgb converter (my next project) any ideas or help would be fantastic as i could have bought this system with a monitor but didnt want extra monitors in the car so now need to get a nice c oulor picture thanks for your english reply

Jewuwa's Diagramm gives the pinning on the computer. But the pinning on the RC itself is different to that.
Which one are you using, is that still the good old RC 5000, or the newer 5400?

On the RC 5000, seen at its rear side and with the buttons up, the left pin is the ground.
Quickly checking it on my own system, I expect that the middle pin is the RC5 signal, and the right pin the + 5V.
According to my information these pins are protected to short-circuit, so no worry in case you have interchanged them.

How the RC 5400 is pinned, I don't know.

the remote is conected and working fine its just a suitable rgb converter now

does anyone know if i need a converter or is there a way to get a pal(colour) picture off one of the pins on the ms5000 ? would be nice to have this unit as a stand alone unit without all the extra screens ect thanks robbie some extra info >>> http://www.techspot.com/vb/all/windows/ ... oblem.html
