Navteq continues mapping of Eastern Europe

Chicago, IL–April 24, 2006 – NAVTEQ (NYSE: NVT), a leading global provider of digital map data for vehicle navigation and location-based solutions, announced the availability of digital map data in Eastern Europe for the following countries: Albania, Macedonia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Serbia & Montenegro. The maps for these countries cover over 6,100 km.of roads.

“The addition of these countries supports our commitment to expanding our coverage in Eastern Europe,” stated George Filley, Vice President of Product Management for NAVTEQ. “Together with the previously released countries of Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Romania, and Slovenia, we now offer coverage that can bring the benefits of digital maps to businesses and users of navigation systems across this region of Eastern Europe.”

To date, NAVTEQ maps of this Eastern Europe region cover over 67,600 km of roads and contain more than 7,000 Points of Interest. Major road networks provide effective connection between Western Europe, Greece and Bulgaria, and to fifty-four major cities within the region.
