Chicago, IL – March 25, 2005 – NAVTEQ (NYSE: NVT), a leading global provider of digital maps for vehicle navigation and location-based solutions, released an enhanced map of Mexico to its direct customers for integration into navigation and location-based solutions. In addition to providing the road network of Mexico City, the NAVTEQ™ Map of Mexico now includes detailed coverage of Monterrey, the second largest commercial city in the country, two surrounding areas and additional highways enabling routing to and from Mexico City, Monterrey and the United States.

The newest version of the NAVTEQ Map of Mexico offers approximately 10,500 additional kilometers of roadway including detailed coverage of Monterrey, Guadalupe and San Pedro Garza Garcia and over 3,000 new Points of Interest residing on the road network in these cities as well as over 75 popular tourist destinations including locations such as Acapulco, Ixtapa, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta.

In addition, the first NAVTEQ Map of Mexico included MEX 150 Autopista Mexico Puebla and MEX 150 Autopista Mexico Toluca, two major highways that connect Mexico City to Toluca and Puebla. To further expand the major highway network of Mexico, NAVTEQ integrated the following roads into the now available enhanced map of Mexico:

Additionally, the inclusion of additional highways facilitates inter-continental routing between Mexico and the United States, another enhancement that is important to our customers,” said John MacLeod, Executive Vice President – Global Marketing & Sales for NAVTEQ.
